I would like to thank you all for your attendance at Iowa's Got Rappers. The outstanding performances and personalities of all the talent made this event another very successful event for Iowa's Got Talent. We appreciate the positive support all the acts showed toward each other, which can be hard to achieve in a competition. I would also like to offer our services to all of the talent. Which includes but is not limited to MySpace Management, shooting video bios and music videos, studio recording, mixing and mastering. For a limited time we are extending our professional studio services to participants of any Iowa's Got Talent event for $20 dollars an hour to record, a $100 dollars per song to mix and a $100 dollars per song to master. An outstanding price for professional quality work. If you would like to take advantage of any of the services please go to the contact page on the site and respond back. P.S. Please be specific in what service you would like to take advantage of.
Thank you | Trivell "Kyser" Hill - Events Coordinator.
“Iowa’s Got Talent” the premiere show case for the most talented people in Iowa,
kicked off its first annual competition at Allplay in the Forte banquet hall on September 19th,
2009 at 5pm. Forte, accommodated a classy setting for the talent, judges and spectators making
everyone fill comfortable and important. The events host/coordinator Trivell Hill kept everyone
cheerfully entertained, while forty acts ranging from Poi (a form of juggling) to stand up
comedy convinced the audience that Iowa’s Got Talent. There were two age divisions with the
13 and under division being won by Alexandria “Lexi” Retz who is 10 and a half. Lexi sung Hello
Baltimore from the movie Hairspray and won a hundred dollars, a photo shoot and a chance to
win over $ 2,500.00 dollars in prizes at the Thrivents talent show at Valley West Mall September 26th.
Lexi was quoted by her mother as saying, “I can’t believe I won mom”, the whole way home
from the competition. Twenty three year old Carlton Ogelsby won the 14 and older competition
with his stunning dance moves and showmanship. Carlton said, “I’ve waited over five years
for something like this to come to Iowa”. All the proceeds from the event were donated to
Lifeline Resources and the event was in collaboration with the Grubb YMCA. The event presented
itself very pleasing to all ages and genres as well as being a good cause for the community.
I see many more successful years to come for Iowa’s Got Talent!
