Ryan “R.J” Collier
Ryan “R.J.” Collier is a professional Contemporary R&B/Neo-Soul singer/songwriter. He has performed with many musicians at numerous clubs, festivals and concerts throughout the Mid-West Region. Currently he is the lead singer with the highly respected and popular local band known as Final Mix.Final Mix performs nationally as well as abroad. R.J.’s main love is the singing although he also enjoys fine tuning his skills on the piano and the drums. His favorite part of the “musician’s life” is the freedom to use his creativity as an outlet that can be shared with his family, friends, and fans.
He has recorded and performed with several Kansas City based artists such as Tech N9ne, 57th St. Rouge Dawg Villains, Rock Money, and Don Juan (of Mizery Entertainment). He has also recorded tracks with Sacramento based rapper Luni Coleone as well as Mac Mall, Brothu Lynch, and Mac Dre (R.I.P) who are also based out of California. R.J. is currently working on his debut solo project which is scheduled to be released January 4th 2008.
Despite his busy schedule, R.J. Collier makes time to be involved with community organizations. In 2007 he volunteered with Iowa’s Variety Children’s Charity by competing in their Variety Idol. R.J. won 1st place raising $17,000 for the charity. Currently there are plans being made through the charity to send him to Bangkok to sing at the 2008 Miss World competition.
Ryan is a native of Des Moines, Iowa and currently still resides there. When he is not making music, he takes pleasure in being a D.J. and competing in local karaoke contests to keep his performance skills top notch. R.J.
